WESTGUARD Kow-Ball Marker

The WESTGUARD Kow-Ball Marker is recognized worldwide as an effective heat detection aid assuring high conception. Made of harness leather Kow-Ball is fully adjustable and attaches securely and comfortably to a teaser (Gomer) bull. Kow-Ball’s spring-loaded stainless steel ball acts like a ball-point pen marking the mounted cow with a specially formulated nontoxic marking ink. Reservoir holds sufficient fluid for 25 to 30 mountings and is easily refilled. Marking ink sold separately.

Instructions:

  1. Select the color marking ink to be used; yellow, blue, green, magenta.
  2. Fill the vessel with marking fluid.
  3. Strap on the device tightening the neck strap first and then adjust the nose strap so the vessel fits snugly under the chin.
    At the end of the season, marking ink should be removed and cleaned from within the vessel using a cleaning solvent. After cleaning the leather halter, put a small amount of oil into the vessel before storing. With proper care and maintenance of the stainless-steel vessel and leather halter, the KOW-BALL MARKER will last for several seasons.
