NOTE: The butterfat percentage of milk can affect how cream separators work, test batches may be necessary to find the correct settings and techniques. Here are two of the best suggestions for successful use: 1. always use on a level surface 2. Always use warm milk in it. In fact you can always run warm water through it first, especially when it's cold out, to warm up the disks. If you put milk in it that is not warm, the cream can thicken between the disks and it won't work at all.
